The Turbo Mini for INR 14,490

The latest feat of Mobile handset companies is to launch cheaper phones that match high-end models in appearance. The only drawback is that as the price decreases, specifications too. They are known are ‘mini versions’. The mini versions of Sony Xperia and Samsung Galaxy S4 are available in the market for a while now. While most companies compete to release mini versions, can the Indian company Micromax relax? They too released one. Micromax has launched the Micromax Canvas Turbo Min which is the smaller version of the super hit phone Canvas Turbo.

While the Canvas Turbo costs INR16,500, the Turbo Mini is priced at INR14,490. The Turbo has a screen size of 5 inch and the Turbo Mini 4.7 inch. Likewise the Turbo Mini is smaller in every aspect. The phone has a 4.7 inch HD IPS display with 720 X1280 pixels resolution. It’s a dual-SIM model that runs on Android 4.2 Jellybean version. It’s hardware specifications include 1.3 Ghz Quadcore processor, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt memory. To satisfy photography enthusiasts, the phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera with LED flash. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. It consists of a 1800 mAh battery that is supposed to give six hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time. The Turbo Mini will be available in black, blue and white colours.
